RGWE and sister company Red Sea Wind Energy (RSWE) Successful Completion of The Port School Project This quarter marked significant progress in our ongoing commitment to improving educational facilities in the region. Two pivotal events, the successful completion and handover of The Port School and subsequent collaborative efforts to enhance its facilities, have further strengthened our partnership with local communities and stakeholders.
  1. Successful Completion and Handover of The Port School

In an impressive collaboration with RGWE and RSWE, the renovation and associated works at The Port School were completed to a high standard and officially handed over to the Educational Buildings Authority and the school administration on Thursday, October 30. This milestone was met with great appreciation from the local community. The project was delivered with exceptional quality, fulfilling the region’s long-standing need for modern educational facilities.

The positive impact of the project was immediately evident, with the residents of the Port area expressing heartfelt gratitude for the involvement of RGWE and RSWE. Their invaluable support has made a lasting impression, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in fostering community development and improving access to quality education.

  1. Enhancing School Facilities Through Collaboration with Goldwind

Following the successful completion of the school’s construction, our collaboration with Gold Wind on November 12 brought further improvements to the school. Gold wind contributed a range of essential furniture, including desks, chairs, and cupboards, which significantly enhanced the functionality and readiness of the school to accommodate its students.

Medical Campaign serving the Residents of Ras Gharib For the second consecutive year, RGWE organized a medical campaign to serve the residents of Ras Gharib, following the great success of the early breast cancer screening campaign for women in early 2023 and the comprehensive medical campaign at the end of the same year. 2024, we decided to repeat the successful experience by organizing a comprehensive medical campaign with a variety of different specialties.

This year's campaign included multiple medical specialties such as pediatrics, ENT, internal medicine, dermatology, orthopedics, and urology. A total of 335 individuals received medical consultations, and treatment was provided free of charge to 315 patients. This distinguished medical activity had a significant impact on improving the health of the local community in Ras Gharib.

Community Engagement and Feedback Process through Questionnaire In alignment with RGWE’s dedication to fostering community collaboration and driving ongoing progress, we conducted comprehensive stakeholder engagement sessions at the end of December. These were facilitated through a well-organized questionnaire that collected valuable feedback regarding our 2024 initiatives and gained insights into the community's priorities for 2025.

The key stakeholders involved in this engagement included:

1.     Head of Ras Ghareb City Council

2.     Director of the Educational Administration

3.     Director of Social Solidarity

4.     Representatives from the local community

The questionnaire addressed several essential areas, such as:

·   Assessing the effectiveness and impact of our 2024 projects.

·   Identifying significant challenges faced by the community.

·   Gathering recommendations and setting priorities for the 2025 development agenda.

The insights gathered through this feedback process have been instrumental in understanding the community’s needs and expectations. They will play a crucial role in refining our strategies and ensuring that our future initiatives align with the local demands, emphasizing our ongoing commitment to a collaborative and sustainable approach to community development.
